Scottish Whiskey Tour

If you appreciate a wee dram of whisky this tour is for you.
From the first time you step aboard our beautiful and spacious Bowman 67 yacht ‘Longbow’ your every comfort will be accommodated.
Our skipper Ted will welcome you and sail you from Ardfern across the waters to the picturesque islands of Jura and Islay.
Along the way you can relax and take in some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland, passing by spectacular mountains, or taking anchorage in a little fishing harbour. (Travelling by yacht gives you access to some remote spots that are otherwise hard to reach.)
Then when you arrive at Jura, a journey of about four hours, there are eight well-known distilleries to experience, and many more on the second island of Islay.
Typical 6 day tour
3pm Sunday:
Welcome and briefing after
you join ‘Longbow’ at Ardfern. Sail and
anchor in Loch Craignish lagoon.
Monday: Sail to Craighouse on Jura. Visit Isle of Jura distillery.
Tuesday: Sail to Port Ellen in Islay where there’s a choice of 8 distilleries.
Wednesday: Sail through the Sound of Islay to Loch Tarbet on Jura. Visit the ancient raised beaches and go deer spotting on the hills.
Thursday: Sail on west side of Jura to Garvellachs to visit the ancient ruins of St. Columba’s monastery.
Friday: Sail south through the Sound of Luing or through Corryvreckan to Crinan. Canal walk, and return to Loch Craignish lagoon.
Saturday: Return to Ardfern. Depart at 10am.
Whisky tours are available as 4-day tours taking in three distilleries, or
6-day tours taking in five distilleries.
