Britney Spears has problems. For that matter, so does Amy Winehouse. Now a young rising star in the name of Heath Ledger has died. These people are under stupid pressure - despite their millions of dollars. Most of these young talented people have lost sight of what’s right and wrong and are being penalised heavily by the ‘Press’ for it. But this shouldn’t mean they become a puppet circus for the media and the public. Paparazzi parking on their bathroom windows to make another 10 grand for some photo shot called ‘Newsworthy’ – or better still – ‘In the public interest’ is not in anyone’s interest except the paparazzi themselves. Unscrupulous newspapers buy these images 'In the public Interest' to shore up their falling circulation figures with ever more desperate stories, half truths and downright lies. Give me a laugh. This is sick stuff and only a handful of people around the world make money from this voyeurism. Everybody else is being taken for a ride. These young, talented people, are having difficulties and need to be left alone, not humiliated ever further for the sake of selling a few more newspapers. I’m not even a fan of Britney Spears – I don’t have one single song of hers in my house. I do like Amy Winehouse – what a talent – but if everybody isn’t careful, including the public, she could easily end up as another Jimmy Hendrix or Heath Ledger. But of course, we’ll still have our Paparazzi and National Newspapers. Phew! What a relief. For a moment I thought I was going mad... |
