Frogpool Manor is one of the largest equestrian retailers in the country, stocking over 20,000 products representing all the top names in saddlery, clothing and equestrian equipment, all at very competitive prices.

Frogpool is renowned for its huge range of stock which encompasses several ranges - the advantage being that the customer has the best range of style and quality at competitive prices.

The main business is encompassed on one site consisting of the tack and clothing store, the pet and feed barn, the saddler’s workshop, the mail order department, the embroidery room and the restaurant.

Saddle Fitting

The managing director of Frogpool Manor is David Dyer and he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Society of Master Saddlers. He is also an examiner for The Society and ensures that all saddlery staff are kept updated and informed on all new and innovative designs as well as maintaining or improving traditional skills.

Any minor saddle alterations or re-flocking can be performed at the time of the saddle fitting or saddle check. If the saddle requires more extensive work it can be taken back to Frogpool Manor’s Saddlery Workshop where Trevor Weller, Master Saddler with over 35 years of experience can make any alterations. The workshop also provides a rug repair service.

Frogpool has run a number of successful clinics and lecture demonstrations - the most popular of which being Carl Hester’s clinics, followed a close second by Matt Ryan’s appearances. Our sponsored dressage rider Nicola Jourdain hosts successful and well attended clinics and demos. They also hold a few “Have a Go” dressage clinics aimed at those riders with less experience. Other regular guest presenters include showing expert Lynn Russell and the highly animated Hilary Vernon (bitting). Frogpool also came up with the idea of the annual Rug and Clipper days, held each Autumn (now widely copied by other retailers!) where the customers can ask advice from the manufacturers face to face.  At our Rug and Clipper Days, customers get discounts on all new rugs purchased, many special offers in the shop and a FREE prize draw with quality prizes such as FalPro and Weatherbeeta Rugs, and Eddie Palin Clippers.

Their Christmas shopping days have 10% off all purchases, further special offers, complimentary mulled wine and mince pies and a FREE gift wrapping service

Their Privilege Card scheme allows customers to earn points towards future purchases and they can earn double points on specified events throughout the year.

The Frogpool Manor Kids Club days have been immensely popular in the past years and especially through its two annual events in summer and Christmas. Previous summer events have included a Pet Show with over 500 children attending. Another held an on-foot gymkhana and Pet Show & photograph competition. Santa visits the children every Christmas and in 2006 Santa was joined by show jumping star Ben Maher who signed autographs for the large number of young fans that attended.

The website also provides; news articles, ask the expert section with advice from top people in their fields; i.e. local vet Tony Warr, bitting expert Hilary Vernon and Nicola Jourdain. WCS&P rider Ben Maher has now joined their ranks to provide advice on show jumping. Other features of the website include the events diary (covering local and national events), and classified ads.

All staff are trained on hat fittings, body protectors, long boots etc to the staff seeing the latest ranges so all are kept abreast of the stock in store.”
