John Leighton Limited has just introduced into the UK a unique style of Viennese Biedermeier furniture.

 

The furniture is hand made by Austrian craftsmen using the same skills employed since 1888. The range, which includes sofas, chairs, tables, secretaries, chests of drawers and cabinets, enhances the ambience and quality feel of any room setting.

The furniture has made its name through superb quality and the timeless elegance of the designs, which clients in Austria and Germany have learnt to appreciate. In addition because the furniture is hand made and built to order, customers are able to have their ideas incorporated into final designs.

 

The range includes the 'Haute Couture Collection', which offers furnishing for the younger generation by combining both traditional and modern design. The result is exciting furniture for modern living imbued with the spirit of the times. Illustrated right is the zebra armchair Congo.

 

As well as furniture for the living area, their collection also features Bedroom furniture, beds with solid frame headboard and footboard, wardrobes with ornamental battens, chests of drawers and bedside tables.

 

 

 

 

Furniture designed by the Painter Prof Ernst Fuchs

 

Biedermeier are proud to be the exclusive production partner of the painter and fantastic realist Prof. Ernst Fuchs. In a joint co-production, the painter and architect ventured into furniture design for the first time.

 

Illustrated : Tribute to Otto Wagner, 9 piece (6 unpainted chairs, 2 painted chairs, and 1 table with polished glass top). Chairs can be pushed under the table. The ensemble then forms a composed piece of art. Available in all light pastel colors according to the RAL color chart.
