Jean-Paul Knott

Jean-Paul Knott is a Belgium born fashion designer who graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 1988.

His career began with a placement with Yves Saint Laurent in Paris and eventually assisted Saint Laurent himself on Haute Couture.

At the turn of the millennium, Knott started his own ready to wear label "Jean-Paul Knott" with his first collection exhibited in 2000.

His early collections and presentations gained him enough critical and commercial success to enable him tsell his collections worldwide. At the invitation of the Parisian "Chambre Syndicale'" he hosted his first catwalk show called "Carousel du Louvre".

Following this he became Artistic Director of Krizia, and collaborated with Maurice Bejart and designed costumes for his first ballet "Lumiere".

In 2001 Knott set up his own studio and show room in Paris and in 2002 he was appointed Creative Director of the 'PAP' line of luxury brand Louis Feraud.
