While its watch making origins date back to 1830 in the heart of Switzerland, the company's name dates from the meeting between William Baume and Paul Mercier in 1918. Today it is owned by giants luxury goods manufacturer Richemont and is known for making sporty wristwatches with a stopwatch function.
Their watches aim to be sporty, trendsetting and fashionable. One of the company's most successful watches was the Riviera, launched in 1973. Todays watch models include Hampton Classic, Hampton City Chronograph, Capeland S Ladies Diamond.
