Today Rabanne constantly seeks to surprise and innovate, but is always faithful to the image of a woman who is both sensual and intelligent.

paco rabannePaco Rabanne was born in San Sebastian in the Spanish Basque Country in 1934.

He studied architecture at the Beaux-Arts in Paris in the 1950s and to finance his studies, he produced accessories for the couturiers.

It wasn’t until the 1960s that Paco Rabanne decided to engage in Haute Couture. In 1966 he created 12 experimental and unwearable dresses in contemporary materials including rhodoid and metal clips, soldered material. The following year he created his first collection of molded clothing, it aimed to offer a fresh perspective of the body. By the end of the decade he launched his first fragrance in a bottle circled in metal called Calandre. This was to be the start of the release of a number of fragrance including Paco Rabanne pour Homme, Spot , Paco, XS and Ultrviolet.

It was not until the 1990s that Paco Rabanne created his first women's ready-to-wear line, which held an enshrined modernity. Paco Rabanne decided to stop working on Haute Couture and began to devote all his energies to developing the entire brand.

Over 40 years have passed and Paco Rabanne has been heaped with honours and awards. Presentations of his fashion collections have taken place throughout the world. He is a visionary with both feet planted firmly in the future. Paco Rabanne boasts 140 licensing agreements across the globe with his cosmetics plant in France dispatching 3,000 tonnes of products each year.
