![]() Liz Earl Liz Earle and Kim Buckland, Co-Founders of Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare, the leading independent British beauty company, were today awarded MBEs in recognition of their services to the beauty industry. Liz Earle is a renowned writer, broadcaster, campaigner and expert in the field of beauty, nutrition, health and lifestyle issues, for over 20 years. Liz's long-time friend and business partner, Kim Buckland, is a beauty marketing expert, with a track record of working with some of the very best and most successful British beauty companies. In 1995, Liz and Kim joined together to launch the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range, a pioneering, botanically-based, skincare brand that is not only run by women , but which genuinely made its goal meeting women's beauty needs. Featuring natural, ethically-sourced ingredients, and produced in the UK at their Isle of Wight base, the company has grown from small beginnings into the biggest independent British beauty brand in the UK, employing over 200 people, mainly women, and achieving a multi-million pound retail turnover with active customers in over 70 countries around the world - a significant achievement for two hard-working women, and full-time mothers. And there are OBEs for Nicky Clarke, undisputedly Britain's most famous hair stylist, long heralded as the man who made hair glamorous and exciting and Joe Casely–Hayford, one of Britain’s most successful fashion designers. There are MBEs for Serena Rees and Joseph Corre, co–founders of Agent Provocateur, the successful and highly influential UK lingerie chain. There is a DBE for Mary Perkins, Director of Specsavers, a hugely successful business and a model employer |
