After all they have been making shoes for ladies and gentlemen since 1857.

The experience of having shoes made is also unique. Firstly they need to see you for an initial consultation to measure your feet, choose a style and the leather. You might have seen a design somewhere that you would like them to copy or adapt. They have many example models of shoes and boots in their shop and are happy to offer you advise as to a style that will be best suited to your needs and feet.

Once they have your measurements a wooden last is modelled, which is then used to craft the shoes or boots around. Many people are involved in the process of making a pair of shoes and each person is an expert in their stage of the making. Initially they have fittings to ensure the shoes fit perfectly. Once they are both happy with the fit, the shoes are finished and you can enjoy the benefits of a bespoke pair of handmade shoes.

They have had many requests over the years ranging from a union jack or a teddy bear embroidered on toe caps to two-tone brogues in unusual colours.
