The Level Racing Class Association was established as a result of RORC's decision to cease sponsorship of the IRM Rating Rule as of the end of 2007, so that interested parties can continue to race on a level basis through 2008 and beyond.

"The IRM Class Association exists to accommodate the requirements of yachting enthusiasts who wish to sail under the IRM Rating Rule.

The Rule is suitable for pure racing boats, embracing modern grand prix one-designs, such as the Farr 40, 1D 35, Mumm 30, Race1/Ker 11.3, IC45 and Farr 52."
