Bahrain National Museum

Over 7,000 years of Bahrain's history is explored through ceramics, sculpture, calligraphy and illuminated Korans. Dhow boat-building, traditional Bahraini houses and a 4,000 year-old burial mound are also on display. Closed Mondays

Beit Al Quar¨an

 

This museum houses internationally celebrated collectiosn of historic Quranic manuscripts from various parts of the Islamic world, from China to the East to Spain in the West, representing a progression of calligraphic traditions from the first century of the Islamic era to the present day.
