Keukenhof, Lisse
Set in 77 acres of wooded park, Keukenhof is one of the world's most spectacular flower gardens.
Established in 1949 as a showcase for Dutch bulb-growers, every Spring more than seven million buds flower into bloom.
Situated near the town of Lisse, quite close to Amsterdam, this is in the heart of flower growing country and is worth seeing during the Tulip season.
August - Amsterdam Pride Weekend
Gay and lesbian festival, with 250.000 spectators, this event is the third largest in Amsterdam. Visitors can see the world-famous Canal Parade, a fantastic floating display of around 80 garishly decorated boats bursting with music and colour.VISIT THE SITE
Autumn - CaDance Festival
CaDance festival - a contemporary dance
event organized every two years by the Korzo theater and the
Theater aan het Spui. Over a two-week period, this fabulous
dance adventure will unfold in various theaters in The Hague.

- Cannabis Cup
Former center for hippies in the past, the Milkyway or Melkweg is Amsterdam's biggest multi-functional entertainment venue, and offers music, drama, movies, a weekend disco, a bar and a restaurant.
The programming includes international acts as well as local talent. In recent years a second concert hall was added, so that the Melkweg is able to host double feature nights. The hippies of yesteryear may have gone but every November the Melkweg still hosts the Cannabis Cup music events.
