Gordon Brow and Prudence

When you first came to power and became Chancellor, you talked about 'Prudence'. That was 10 years ago and now I'm wondering if the Prudence you were referring to was from a Jane Austen Novel or were you really preparing the British Public for the inevitable?

Because 'Prudence' is now knocking on Britain's Door and has changed her name to 'Credit Crunch'. Gordon - are you savvy enough to handle her?
