Daniel Cullen Charcoal & Chalk Figure Studies
Daniel Cullen is a professional artist working from a studio in Nottingham. However, he has never attempted to publish his own work until quite recently.
He's been drawing since he was a child - his mother is a sculptor with a studio in her home. You could say that art is in his blood.
He works mainly with charcoal, carbon and chalk on heavy, acid-free paper, often with a wash of watercolour beneath the drawing to add body.
Figure studies have been central to his work and he uses his medium to recreate a certain mood or atmosphere or capture a particular moment.
This young artist is certain to be discovered by the wider art community before long. The technical skill in what he draws is incredible.
